concepts of a promethean board.

resources effectively, while integrating technology.
Brief
Description: Students will learn to utilize “ The Math Workshop” for one week. Also, one
l Math center will be established for students to work on the promethean board with
assigned from a teacher. Students will be searching through the Math lessons,
which is a resource on the promethean board. The learners will select a Math
lesson according to their level using the promethean board and after finishing
the Math lesson, students will be given a assessment to see if the promethean
board and the math activities are an effective tool for learning.
Activity:
1.
The students choose a Math lesson on the promethean
board with assistance from a teacher on how to properly use the technology
device.
2.
Students working on a Math lesson will be able to
identify difficult Math problem with assistance for a teacher and will be able
to create their own Math problem on flashcards after the promethean assignment.
3.
Students can use numerous of Math applications on the
promethean board instead of having copied pages to write Math problems on, this
resource is very interactive and highly motivating.
4.
There are so many wonderful educational applications
that can be used in Math that would motivate students to “play” and “learn”.
Students love technology and will love using the promethean board in the
classroom.

Adaptations for
Children with Special Needs and English Language Learners: Exceptional
learners will be able to engage one-to-one with the teacher assistance and from
peers, following along with the simple detailed demonstrations.
Assessment and
Evaluation: The teacher will
evaluate the lesson based on observation of student’s participation during the
lesson as they are able to perform, and analyze the outcome of their mini assessment
after promethean board activity.
